Pulitzer Prize-Winning Musicals

November 15, 2025 at 5:00pm

East Tennessee Historical Society (601 S. Gay Street)

For the kick off of this Broadway season, we will not focus on a specific show, but will have a special presentation from Dr. Broadway. In its 100+ year history, the prestigious Pulitzer Prize for Drama has been awarded to a musical just ten times. Come learn about the tie that binds each of these groundbreaking shows. Dr. Broadway, Kristin Stultz Pressley, will be walking through her new book, Pulitzer Prize-Winning Musicals, and elaborating on the ways that charting the course of the Pulitzer Prize winners is to chart the course of Broadway itself. This session is a must-attend for anyone interested in the “bigger picture” of Broadway.

At the conclusion of the session, Dr. Broadway will be selling—and signing!—a limited number of copies of her book. Books will be available for $20 (cash or Venmo) while supplies last.
