Beck Eighth of August Red-Carpet Movie Screening

The exclusive reception will feature special guests William (Bill) H. Hastie, the son of Judge William H. Hastie, and Emmy-winning filmmaker Loki Mulholland. The event will open at 4 p.m. for VIP ticket holders, and at 5:30 p.m. for General Admission ticket holders.

The reception is a meet-and-greet with our special guests and includes live entertainment by Kelle Jolly and heavy hors d’oeuvres by Allow Me Caterers. Following the reception, guests select seating for the program and screening before general admission opens.

The short feature film, "WILLIAM H. HASTIE: Good & Noble,” is a tribute to one of the most influential and highest-ranking African Americans at the turn of the century, a native of Knoxville, Tennessee. This film aims to inform, inspire, and encourage, and will uncover the extraordinary history of this remarkable individual. The program and film will be a wonderful evening for all, and Teachers and Administrators of Knox County School will receive In-Service Credit for attendance.
